Membership

The Tasmanian Canine Defence League (TCDL) is a non-profit organisation caring for Tasmania’s stray, lost and abandoned dogs. The TCDL operates the Burnie, Devonport and Hobart Dogs’ Homes.
The TCDL is committed to:

  • adopting dogs and puppies into new homes
  • promoting responsible dog ownership
  • providing the best possible care to all lost, stray or unwanted dogs
  • promoting the de-sexing of dogs
  • promoting the principle that all animals are entitled to live free of unnecessary suffering or pain
  • Support us by becoming a TCDL Member or a Friend of the Dogs’ Homes of Tasmania

The TCDL Council is made up of members who meet monthly and oversee the operations of the Dogs’ Homes in Hobart, Burnie and Devonport. Membership of the TCDL Council is a voluntary role.
